COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM & CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

As one of the state owned enterprises in Indonesia, Bio Farma implements a Community Development Program and a corporate social responsibility to assist small and medium enterprises. In the first quarter of 2006, Bio Farma has contributed some funds for the following purposes :

March 15, 2006 :
A bridge in Sariwangi village, Parongpong regency has been officially inaugurated. The renovation of this bridge is funded by Bio Farma in cooperation with 14 other state owned enterprises. The total fund to renovate this bridge is Rp. 154.369.000,-

March 29, 2006 :
Bio Farma has financed 76 small and medium enterprises with the total fund is around Rp. 905 million. This fund covers Rp. 100 million for 8 cooperatives, and Rp. 805 million for 68 small enterprises. Previously, Bio Farma conducted a one-day seminar for the recipients to give them a broaden knowledge in running their micro businesses.
