Jakarta (19102): 60.000 Uniject TT vaccines are given by PT Bio Farma (Persero) to Indonesian Ministry of Health, Monday 19 February 2007 at Indonesian Ministry of Health Building, Jl. Kuningan Jakarta. These vaccines will be used for volunteer who works in Jakarta Flood Area. The given of the vaccine is symbolic from PT Bio Farma Director, Drs. Marzuki Abdullah, Apt, MBA to Indonesia Minister of Health, Dr. dr. Siti Fadhillah Supari, Sp. JP (K)at Measles Campaign Conference Press yesterday.
TT vaccine is very important to avoid the volunteer from transmitted tetanus disease while they work in flood area where is very dangerous, especially if the volunteer get injured. This vaccine donation is part of Bio Farma social responsibility to Jakarta flood disaster nowadays.
Meanwhile Bio Farma has fulfilled the Measles Vaccine totally 894.595 vials @ 20 dose (17.891.900) for National Measles Campaign in February 2007. This campaign is held in 5 provences, such as DKI Jaya, Banten, West Java, Central Java, and East Java. (Public Relations Dept. PT. Bia Farma).
