Indonesian citizen domiciled in Jakarta, born in Pemalang, Central Java. Graduated from Informatics Engineering Bachelor Program in 2005, then graduated from Informatics Master Program in 2007, both from Bandung Institute of Technology. Afterward, Soleh continued his education and obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Health Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012.
The legal basis for his appointment as Deputy Director of Bio Farma is in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of SOEs Number SK-33/MBU/02/2023 concerning Dismissal, Changes in Position Nomenclature, Transfer of Duties and Appointment of Members of the Board of Directors of the Company (Persero) PT Bio Farma on February 22, 2023. Prior to his current position, he was appointed as Director of Transformation & Digital Bio Farma based on the Decree of the Minister of SOEs No. SK-15/MBU/05/2021 dated May 7. He has been appointed as Director of Digital Healthcare Bio Farma since August 24, 2020 based on the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number: SK-272/MBU/09/2020 on August 24, 2020 concerning Changes in Position Nomenclature, Transfer of Duties and Appointment of Members of the Board of Directors of the Company (Persero) PT Bio Farma.
Before returning to Indonesia and joining Bio Farma, Soleh already had 12 years of global experience in healthcare by joining several international companies; including Novo Nordisk (Seattle, United States) as Director Head of Digital Therapeutics and Data Science in 2019-2020; Unitedhealth Group (Boston, United States) as Director of Innovation, Research and Development in 2017 - 2019; Boston Children's Hospital (Boston, United States) as Technical Innovation Manager in 2013-2016; Veterans Affairs Hospital (Pittsburgh, United States) as Senior Software Engineer in 2011-2012.
In addition to the healthcare industry, Soleh Al Ayubi is also active in the world of education and has been appointed as Digital and Health Entrepreneurship at Harvard University (Boston, United States) since 2017 until now, which has the task of providing training and mentoring to medical students, Doctoral (PhD) and post-doctoral students at Harvard Medical School. Since 2020, he has also been an Adjunct Faculty at the School of Business Management, Bandung Institute of Technology.
In the scientific and R&D community, besides holding 2 patents in the US, Soleh is also active in various international conferences and publications in the field of healthcare innovation and healthcare technology both as a speaker, reviewer, and as a journal author. As a writer, Soleh has published 15 papers in international journals and proceedings. He has no affiliation with other members of the Board of Directors, members of the Board of Commissioners or shareholders.
