Who We Are
Backed by expertise, experience, and a learning process spanning over 130 years, Bio Farma stands as a key player in the effort to save and improve the quality of human life. Given its vital role in advancing the nation’s health, Bio Farma’s presence has been sustained over the years.
Bio Farma is a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) whose shares are held by 1 (one) Series A Dwiwarna of the Republic of Indonesia and 17,481,278 (seventeen million four hundred eighty-one thousand two hundred seventy-eight) Series B shares of PT Danantara Asset Management (Persero). The Company’s authorized capital is set at Rp61,000,000,000,000.00 (sixty-one trillion Rupiah).
The purpose and objectives of the Company are to conduct business in the fields of manufacturing, trade, professional, scientific, and technical activities, human health activities, financial activities, transportation and trade, information and communication, agriculture, education, accommodation services, real estate, recreation, leasing activities, and other business support services, as well as to optimize the utilization of the Company’s resources to produce high-quality and highly competitive goods and/or services to generate/pursue profits to increase the Company’s value by applying the principles of a Limited Liability Company.
Our History
In its long history, Bio Farma has transformed into a world-class producer of vaccines and antisera. Our story began when the Dutch East Indies administration established the “Parc-vaccinogène (National Institute of Vaccine Development) on August 6, 1890.

Bio Farma is an adaptive company in anticipating business and technology trends in vaccine and antisera development. One form of anticipation is to have a logo which is the Company's identity.

In 2008, the Bio Farma logo was changed to reflect enthusiasm and optimism towards a world-class vaccine industry.

The logo is an adaptation of the imaging form of "Crystal Protein" and "Glicoprotein". This reflects that Bio Farma is a company in the vaccine and serum sector.

Imaging a sparkling illusion. In this case, the starlight is interpreted as the spirit and dynamics of Bio Farma, which has a bright future.

The dominant color is green. This dominant green color psychologically implies a hygiene and health value.

Orange and yellow colors. The orange and yellow colors in an integrated manner imply a progressive spirit and the courage to innovate to always be at the forefront.
Corporate Identity
Bio Farma's distinctive batik is specially designed by the house of Batik Komar, depicting living things consisting of one or several cell collections as raw material in making vaccines or anti-sera. The design of batik in the form of viruses, bacteria, amoeba, communicates messages about aspects of biodiversity while encapsulating the value of professionalism from a biotechnology and life-science company. Every batik icon has a corporate philosophical value "Dedicated to Improve Quality of Life"
