Target Imunisasi Global, Imunisasi untuk semua orang

Wednesday, 25 November 2015

On 22 April 2015 in Geneva the progress towards global vaccination targeted in 2015 is far from the planned target, 1 of 5 children are still threatened not to be saved due to non-immunization, which could cause 1.5 million deaths every year from preventable diseases. Ahead of the World Immunization Week of 2015 (24 to 30 April), the World Health Organization (WHO) called for renewed efforts to return on track. In 2013 at least nearly 22 million babies were not completely immunized with Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus (DPT3) vaccine, most of them were from poor countries. WHO is calling to end death and disability due to incomplete immunization. "The World Immunization Week created a global platform that is focused on re-improving our joint efforts in ensuring vaccinations for every child, whoever they are and wherever they live," according to Dr. Flavia Bustreo, WHO Assistant Director General, Families’, Women’s and Children's Health. "It is imperative that the global community makes a collective and cohesive effort to progress towards the six targets returning to the course that has been set." In 2012, a total of 194 member countries attending the World Health Assembly (WHA) proposed global vaccine action plan (GVAP), which is a commitment to ensure that nothing was left of important immunization, however, report on latest independent assessment reported warning that vaccines are not administered fairly or reliably and that only one of the main six vaccination targets for 2015 of vaccine introduction were underused. Many countries around the world have experienced outbreaks of measles in the past year, threatening efforts to achieve the target of global vaccine action plan to eliminate measles in 2 Regional of WHO by the end of 2015. Action to get back on track of A collaboration for global immunization, which began in the mid-1970s - with the establishment of Basic Immunization Program (Expended Immunization Programme) in all countries - achieve dramatic results, increasing the vaccination rate of as low as 5% to over 80% in many countries in 2013. WHO estimated that the current immunization could prevent between 2 and 3 million deaths annually and protect people from diseases and disabilities. Although the progress is less satisfying in the recent years, the initial success indicates the potential of vaccines, which are increasingly being extended from children to teenagers and adults, providing protection against diseases such as influenza, meningitis and cervical cancer, and liver. * Source: http://www.who.int/campaigns/immunization-week/2015/ For further information, please contact: N.
