Bio Farma awarded for 'best sustainability report'

State-owned vaccine manufacturer Bio Farma has just been recognized during the 12^th sustainability reporting awards for 2016 (SRA 2016) under the manufacturing category.

Held on Dec, 14 at the Fairmont Hotel, Senayan, the award was handedover by SRA 2016 judge Sarwono Kusumaatmadja, who works  at the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR), and received by Bio Farma production director Juliman.

A sustainability report is a report that records the performance of a company in three aspects: economics, environmental and social. The report seeks to evaluate whether a company succeds in fulfilling sustainability issues, such as energy conservations and efficiency, as well as how it treats its employees to protect their wellbeing and the quality of society as a whole.

Bio Farma was chosen for the award as the company had succeded in aligning its sustainability report with the sustainable development goal, distinguishing if from the reports filed by other companies.
